ABOUT PEABODY HEALTH PHILANTHROPIES (PHP)

Peabody Health Philanthropies (PHP) is a San Francisco, California based 501c3 founded in 2023 by John and Camellia Peabody.  PHP’s vison is to use its IP copyrighted tool to help build a world where access to consistent, high-quality, healthcare is equally available to everyone. PHP’s mission is to improve the quality of healthcare by using scientifically validated patient simulations to serially measure and standardize healthcare practice, lower the cost of care, and improve patient outcomes in low-and-middle-income-countries (LMIC).

Since 2023, PHP has partnered with VinUni in a very successful and burgeoning quality improvement project.  In less than 2 years, our shared success has created an exciting opportunity to expand this work to more doctors and more facilities throughout Vietnam.

In our partnership, VinUni and PHP, under Ministry of Health oversite, seek to improve the quality of clinical care in the private VinMec hospital system and public healthcare system throughout Vietnam. Here in, Vietnam PHP and VinUni have had great success starting with 100% participation in the VinMec hospitals, resulting in measurable and significant improvements in clinical decision making and a focus on reduction of costs throughout the hospital systems.  In each participating site, we have measured improvement in case scores which translate to improved quality of care.

While the private sector is core to PHP’s vision of better healthcare in Vietnam, PHP, is deeply committed to improving the care of the poor, those living in rural areas, and those with limited access to the highest quality of care.  This is why we are expanding our project to include public hospitals and facilities who care for the poor and underserved.
