Last week’s Alumni sharing session “Master your next degree: Alumni share the Key” on the journey of exploring the world featured inspiring learning experiences from alumni. They provided valuable insights into studying in different countries like the UK, Singapore, and the US. Let’s revisit some of the highlights!

1. A scholarship-winning mindset follows the WIN formula: Wisdom to acquire and apply knowledge through GPA, professional qualifications, and competitions; Impact to create meaningful change through entrepreneurship and extracurricular activities; and Never give up persisting through challenges and setbacks.

2. The STAR technique: Situation, Task, Action, and Result—offers a structured approach to communicating experiences effectively. This method ensures clarity, persuasiveness, and a strong connection between past accomplishments and future potential.

3. A master’s degree bridges the gap between theory and practice. It’s not just about gaining knowledge but about applying it in real-world contexts, solving complex problems, and developing industry-ready skills. The true value lies not just in coursework, but in immersive learning experiences, collaboration with thought leaders, and building a network that extends far beyond graduation.
