College of Arts and Sciences has successfully signed a cooperation agreement with SConnect Academy – marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for students
The signing ceremony, held on Friday, June 7, 2024, was a momentous occasion that signifies a promising direction for our CAS community. With this partnership, we’re opening doors to incredible opportunities in human resources, education, training, and research, in terms of Media arts and Communication.
SConnect Academy of Media Art (SAMA), a powerhouse under SCONNECT Media, is renowned for its expertise in digital content services, particularly animation and gaming. Their portfolio boasts 18 animation IPs and billions of followers monthly! Notably, the animated film “Wolfoo” has captured the hearts of millions worldwide, accumulating over 41 billion views since its release in 2018.
Our collaboration with SAMA isn’t just about signing documents—it’s about forging meaningful connections and nurturing talent. Through internships, training programs, and media production opportunities, our students will have the chance to dive deep into the world of animation and gaming, guided by industry experts.
During the ceremony, we had the privilege of touring SConnect and SAMA Building, where we explored different departments, movie sets, and production studios. Plus, our students got hands-on experience in Trial-Class, Wacom workshop using Zbrush/Maya, led by SAMA instructors and TAs.
