Career Readiness Workshop Series – Topic 2: “Resume & Brandstorm”
On November 21, 2024, the Career Readiness Workshop Series continued with an inspiring session, “Resume & Brandstorm”, hosted by Alumni, Industry and Development (AID) Department and collaborated with L’Oréal Vietnam. This event provided opportunities for VinUnians to explore career prospects and learn about an AI-empowered tool: Big Interview to elevate resumes.
Mr. Huynh Dao Vinh Chau, Talent Acquisition Manager at L’Oréal, shared a valuable insight: “Recruiters typically spend only 7-10 seconds reviewing each resume. It’s crucial to tailor your resume to the specific job description and keep an open mind and be receptive to new opportunities. Many students mistakenly believe that companies only hire candidates from specific backgrounds (major, gender,…)”
The workshop left a lasting impression on attendees. Bùi Thị Diễm Hồng, College of Business and Management Cohort 4 students, shared: “The workshop was incredibly eye-opening. Hearing directly from L’Oréal’s Representative – Mr. Chau Huynh helped me understand what recruiters truly value”.
Similarly, Nguyễn Đại An, a College of Engineering & Computer Science Cohort 4 student, remarked: “Learning how AI can enhance resumes and the role of personal branding in career success was truly inspiring. I’ll definitely use the Big Interview to improve my career preparation.”
We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to L’Oréal Vietnam, VinUni leaders, faculty, staff, and all students for participating in this event. Your contributions made this workshop truly impactful.
