A Warm Welcome to VinUniversity’s 3rd Class of Medical Residents
22 bright faces – new students of VinUniversity’s Graduate Medical Education Program (GMEP) – took part in the Program’s Convocation Ceremony, held on November 7th, 2022.
They recently graduated from a 6-year medical doctor program at medical universities across the country, such as Hanoi Medical University, University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and so on. They will now continue their medical journey with VinUniversity and Vinmec in the GME Program, with 3 majors: Internal Medicine – Surgery – Pediatrics.
Choosing to pursue GMEP and passing the Program’s rigorous and selective exams and assessments are no easy feat. Currently, 100% of VinUni’s GMEP students receive a full scholarship and monthly allowance while working at Vinmec Healthcare System.
“This is a completely innovative and unprecedented residency program in Vietnam, aimed at enhancing education and improving the quality of healthcare. The journey to become a resident doctor at VinUni will be challenging. Nevertheless, the support from lecturers, friends, and future colleagues sitting next to you today will help you succeed in your future career.” – shared Dr. Paul Lu – from the University of Pennsylvania and Director of Internal Medicine Residency Program, VinUniversity College of Health Sciences – at the Opening Ceremony.
The University of Pennsylvania (USA) – ranked #13 globally according to QS rankings in 2022 – is currently VinUniversity’s strategic partner.
