Prof. Phan Mạnh Hưởng has been named an American Physical Society Fellow APS (*) – an honor awarded to fewer than 0.5% of the Society’s 50,000+ members worldwide.

Among 17 nominees, Prof. Hưởng was recognized for his pioneering contributions to 2D quantum magnetism – a field foundational to quantum computing and information – as well as his commitment to international collaboration and mentoring the next generation of researchers.

At VinUniversity, Prof. Hưởng leads the VinUni Center for Materials Innovation and Technology (VinCMIT), working toward world-class research in sustainability and high-tech innovation. He is also the Founding Member and Managing Editor of the Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices – Vietnam’s only Q1-ranked scientific journal.
