Explore Hanoi History With Sightseeing Spots!
Dear participants,
Continuing the previous post on some interesting spots, we would like to provide three meaningful sightseeing spots for you to explore more and immerse in Hanoi’s History and Stories.
These activities are recommended for personal experience; thus, you do not need to make a reservation through QUIS18 Organizing Team. Just feel free to explore them by yourselves.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the resting place of the revolution leader Ho Chi Minh, the President of the Communist Party of Vietnam. There will be different documents, films, and objects in the mausoleum for you to explore and have more understanding of our leader. Especially, a daily routine you would not want to miss is the flag raising (6AM) and lowering ceremony (9PM) everyday.
Appreciate education at the Temple of Literature: When you visit the Temple of Literature, you will find an abundance of literature, turtle steles as well as the Well of Heavenly Clarity. The Temple of Literature is a tribute to education. This place has seen thousands and thousands of Vietnam’s finest scholars.
Explore dynasties at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long: The place is full of memory about the story of a succession of dynasties and rulers, each with a highly developed sense of art and distinctive culture. You will have a chance to go through the historic Đoan Môn (Main Gate), see different dynasties’ dragon stones and enjoy the art of traditional folk paintings, clay and ceramics.
