The VinUni Center for Environmental Intelligence (CEI) is pioneering advancements in smart charging, aiming to revolutionize the way Vietnam perceives and utilizes sustainable energy. PhDs in Smart Charging for EVs Project

The purpose of the program is to train a Ph.D in Computer Science with:

  • A high level of expertise, practical knowledge and advanced, intensive theory;
  • Skills to synthesize and analyze information, discover and solve problems creatively;
  • Critical thinking skills, independent research capability, skills to create new knowledge to disseminate and disseminate knowledge and establish a national and international cooperation network in professional activities.

The smart charging project focuses on:

  • Developing intelligent algorithms for optimized energy distribution.
  • Implementing real-time analytics to understand consumption patterns.
  • Creating scalable smart charging solutions for urban and rural areas in Vietnam.
  • Ensuring the integration of renewable energy sources with smart charging infrastructures.

The candidate will be required to complete training courses at VinUni and immerse in hands-on research and development to create and implement state-of-the-art smart charging systems. They will collaborate on diverse project themes, including Infrastructure Development, User Behavior Analysis, and Integration of Renewable Energy.

Key responsibilities will encompass conducting comprehensive literature reviews to establish the current state-of-the-art to understand global advancements in smart charging, designing and executing experiments and simulations, engaging in collaborative and independent research tasks that drive the project forward, and presenting findings at the international conferences and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with a preference for candidates with industry experience;
  • Strong commitment, teamwork, critical thinking, and motivation;
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Optional: knowledge of AI/ML or keen to learn.
