We are immensely proud of team aSAP – comprising alumnus Lê Trung Kiên and student Cao Văn Trường—for their outstanding achievement in winning the regional finals of the ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2024. Competing against top talents from across the region, they have brought great pride to VinUniversity.

Their project, focusing on Ocean Acidification and Energy Insecurity, stood out for its innovation and impact. Supported by the Agile Innovation Center (AIC) at VinUniversity, the project has been selected for pilot implementation on Bích Đầm Island, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa, where 174 households are in need of reliable electricity. This initiative is part of the Green Transformation Project, led by AIC in the region.

This success is a testament to the dedication and creativity of our students, and it reflects VinUniversity’s commitment to fostering research that addresses real-world challenges. The work of team aSAP not only exemplifies the interdisciplinary nature of our educational approach but also reinforces our core values of empathy and entrepreneurship.
