Two Research Institutes from Vinmec Officially Join VinUniversity

On November 11, 2024, VinUniversity officially welcomed two renowned research institutes into its academic and research community: the Research Institute of Stem Cell & Gene Technology (VRISC) and the Vinmec-VinUni Institute of Immunology (VIVI). Initially established under Vinmec, these institutes now join VinUniversity, strengthening its mission to advance impactful and translational research.

Led by Professor Nguyen Thanh Liem, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, alongside their dedicated teams, these institutes bring exceptional expertise and visionary leadership to VinUniversity. Their integration will significantly enhance the university’s capacity for groundbreaking healthcare research and innovation.

About the Research Institute of Stem Cell & Gene Technology (VRISC): VRISC is dedicated to advancing biomedicine and regenerative medicine through pioneering research and innovative applications. Its mission is to develop world-class therapies targeting major health challenges such as stroke, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes and quality of life for people in Vietnam and beyond.

About the Vinmec-VinUni Institute of Immunology (VIVI): VIVI focuses on transforming the understanding and treatment of allergies, autoimmune disorders, and cancer.
