Workshop: Capacity Building for Early Career Researchers

Summary

This workshop is designed to build essential research skills among students and early career researchers through focused, practical training in three key areas. The first session explores Open Research practices, including open access publishing, data sharing, and reproducibility, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. The second session focuses on Quantitative Research Methods, with an emphasis on survey design and advanced analytical techniques, enabling participants to gather and analyse data effectively to answer complex research questions. The third session addresses Systematic Literature Reviews, equipping participants with the tools and techniques needed to conduct comprehensive, transparent, and methodologically sound reviews. The final session will involve a practical group activity about literature search using an academic database as part of undertaking a systematic literature review. Collectively, the workshop supports the development of rigorous, ethical, and impactful research practices.
