Vice Provost for Research Laurent El Ghaoui Participates in the “Science for Peace” Symposium

VinUni’s Vice Provost for Research, Laurent El Ghaoui, is a participant in the “Science for Peace” Symposium. This distinguished event, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Rencontres du Vietnam, and the ICISE Center, kicked off on September 11, 2023, and ran until September 13, 2023, with a focus on “Water Security and Insecurity: Rebuilding Peaceful Coexistence with Science.”

With a mission to foster global unity through science, the symposium served as an essential platform for international dialogue on matters of paramount importance to the IPU’s core goals. The symposium has drawn nearly 60 delegates and parliamentarians from 18 different countries.

Distinguished guests at the event include Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Central Committee Member of the Party and Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council of Binh Dinh province. International delegates of significant influence are also in attendance.

VinUniversity is honored to have Vice Provost Laurent El Ghaoui representing our institution on this global stage, reinforcing our dedication to scientific advancement and international collaboration in addressing pressing global issues.
