Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Research Minicourse Development

About the Role

VinUniversity is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Teaching Assistant to support the development of a comprehensive minicourse for the Research Essentials Series. This role involves a range of tasks, including content creation, video editing, and coordination with faculty members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational content development and be proficient in digital tools for course creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Canvas Design and Content Updates:
    • Design and update the Canvas course platform with relevant content.
    • Ensure all course materials are organized and accessible to students.
  • Video Lecture Management:
    • Edit video lecture content to enhance clarity and engagement.
    • Regenerate slide content and lectures from existing video materials.
    • Create promotional videos to market the minicourse.
  • Faculty Coordination:
    • Collaborate with faculty members to facilitate their participation in the program.
    • Schedule and manage faculty contributions to the course.
  • Platform Search and Course Launch Assistance:
    • Research and identify suitable video content platforms for hosting the course.
    • Assist in the technical setup and launch of the minicourse on the chosen platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in educational content development.
  • Familiarity with research at the undergraduate level or higher.
  • Knowledge of best practices in instructional design.
