[SEMINAR RECAP] NEW TRENDS IN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

On May 13, 2025, a seminar titled  “New Trends in Education and Research” took place in Room I201 at VinUniversity, Hanoi. The event featured Prof. Laurent El Ghaoui, Dr. Phung Thi Viet Bac, Dr. Myles Lynch from VinUniversity, and researchers from the Association of International Researchers of Indian Origin (AIRIO), along with students from VinUniversity.

Seminar Highlights:

Expert Presentations: Dr. Myles delivered an in-depth talk on Creativity and Experiential Education, emphasizing that creativity is not an innate talent or a spontaneous spark, but rather a combination of aptitude, process, and environment. Creativity is shaped by social and cultural factors and varies with context. In education, it should be approached through collaboration, systems thinking, and real-world connections.

The experts from AIRIO joined Dr Phung Thi Viet Bac on a tour of VinUni’s Gallery of Tradition  room and campus. They also delivered insightful presentations on current educational topics, focusing on teaching responsibility, professional ethics, and broadening career opportunities for students in a rapidly globalizing world. Furthermore, they stressed the importance of fostering positive classroom environments, inclusive education, and healthy lifestyles as the foundation for the holistic development of emotional, social, and personal awareness.

We extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Laurent El Ghaoui, Dr. Phung Thi Viet Bac, Dr. Myles Lynch, and the Association of International Researchers of Indian Origin (AIRIO) for their participation, organization, and inspiration at this meaningful event. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to all the participating students for their forward-thinking contributions and enthusiastic engagement.

This seminar not only provided meaningful insights into current educational trends but also strengthened the global academic collaboration between VinUniversity and AIRIO. We look forward to future exchanges and initiatives inspired by the knowledge shared in this event.
