[SEMINAR RECAP] GENERATIVE AI, THE KNOWLEDGE REVOLUTION AND UNIVERSITIES
On May 30, 2025, VinUniversity hosted a seminar titled “Generative AI, the Knowledge Revolution, and Universities” in Room C401 and online via Zoom. The event featured Professor Wray Buntine from VinUniversity and attracted the interest of students and researchers.

Expert Presentation: Professor Wray Buntine delivered an in-depth and thought-provoking talk on Generative AI, the Knowledge Revolution, and the Role of Universities. He explored how Generative AI is rapidly transforming the way we learn, teach, and conduct research. From chatbots and avatars to AI tutors, education is undergoing a digital transformation at an unprecedented pace.
At the same time, Professor Wray Buntine emphasized the critical challenges accompanying these advances—including AI hallucinations, misinformation, and digital inequality. He highlighted the importance of integrating AI with human connection, critical thinking, and ethical responsibility. According to him, the future of learning lies not in blind reliance on AI, but in training students to collaborate with AI as intelligent and ethical partners.
