VinUni Partners with VinFast to Host Vietnam Symposium on Rechargeable Batteries (VINBATT2025)

The Vietnam Symposium on Rechargeable Batteries (VINBATT2025) marks a milestone for Vietnam’s scientific and industrial community in the field of energy storage. In the face of a growing global demand for sustainable energy solutions, this symposium provides a dedicated platform for Vietnam’s emerging battery community to contribute to the advancement of rechargeable battery research and manufacturing. 

The event features invited talks, a poster session with awards, and an interactive roundtable discussion focused on accelerating Vietnam’s battery ecosystem, from materials discovery to industrial-scale production. 

Participation and poster registration are free of charge, offering a valuable opportunity – especially for students and early-career researchers – to engage directly with world-leading scholars and VinFast’s R&D and manufacturing leaders. 

Symposium Objectives 

VINBATT2025 aims to: 

  • Foster collaboration and technology transfer among universities, research institutes, and industry partners in Vietnam and abroad. 
  • Showcase and exchange the latest scientific and technological advances in rechargeable battery research and development. 
  • Address challenges in scaling up from laboratory innovations to real-world production. 
  • Promote a sustainable vision for the growth of Vietnam’s battery industry, contributing to the nation’s transition toward green and sustainable energy.

Prof. Minh Tho Nguyen – Distinguished Professor, VinUniversity; Emeritus Professor, KU Leuven (Belgium) – With over 850 peer-reviewed publications and 30+ book chapters, Prof. Nguyen is recognized among the top 1% of the world’s most influential researchers. 

Featured Academic Speakers 

  • Prof. Jyh-Chiang Jiang – Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) – A leading expert in solid-state computational science with over 200 international publications and four patents, Prof. Jiang has over 15 years of experience in battery research. 
  • Other invited speakers from top universities and research institutes across the USA, Taiwan, Cuba, South Korea, and Australia.
