The position is recruited to support the development of a project proposal for a series of interdisciplinary mini-courses in Social Sciences and Environment at VinUni. Dedicated capacity is needed to conduct research, benchmark existing programs, and develop a comprehensive proposal that meets academic standards and institutional needs. Recruiting a collaborator will help ensure the proposal is developed in a timely and high-quality manner, serving as a foundation for future course implementation.
POSITION INFORMATION
Position title: Research Collaborator
Contract type: Service Contract
Contract duration: 03 months (object to extension)
Work location: VinUniversity campus or other agreed locations, with regular coordination via email and online communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The collaborator will undertake the following main tasks:
Prepare a project proposal for developing a series of mini-courses in Social Sciences and Environment, with the potential to be developed into courses that can be implemented by academic institutes and research centers at VinUni. Specifically:
Objective: Develop a comprehensive project proposal for an interdisciplinary mini-course series focusing on social sciences and environmental topics. The proposal should ensure feasibility, meet academic standards, and address educational needs.
Key tasks:
- Research and information gathering: Review and analyze existing courses in social sciences and environmental studies in Vietnam and internationally; identify content gaps and learner needs; summarize key findings and data to inform the proposal.
- Develop the proposal content: Prepare the proposal draft and collect feedback from relevant stakeholders.
- Revise and finalize the proposal based on feedback received.
- Present the final proposal and submit all related documentation.
Deliverables: A comprehensive project proposal, including project overview, curriculum framework for the mini-course series, implementation plan, budget and financial analysis, and any supporting documents (if applicable).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of or experience in training content development or course design, preferably in sustainability, social sciences, environmental studies, or education.
- Strong skills in research, literature synthesis, and academic content development, including lectures, discussion questions, assignments, and learning materials.
- Ability to write and present content clearly, collaborate with the course design team, and use English effectively to consult international references.
