Biography
Dr. Minh Canh Vu received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from Korea National University of Transportation, South Korea, in 2020. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Materials Science at the College of Engineering and Computer Science, VinUniversity, Vietnam. Prior to joining VinUniversity, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago, USA (2021–2024), and a Research Fellow at the University of Newcastle, Australia (2024–2026). His research focuses on advanced functional materials for sustainable energy and next-generation electronics, including energy storage materials, multifunctional polymer composites, thermal management materials, electromagnetic interference shielding, flame-retardant materials, and flexible electronics. Dr. Vu has served as a key researcher and principal investigator in 11 funded research projects, with total funding of approximately USD 2.0 million from programs supported by the governments of the United States, South Korea, and Vietnam. He has produced more than 70 scientific outputs, including 63 international journal articles, 3 book chapters, and 9 patents. According to Scopus, his work has received over 1,800 citations with an h-index of 24. He has also developed a broad international collaboration network, involving 111 co-authors from 54 research institutions across 14 countries.
