Biography
Dr. Saurabh Pathak received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering jointly from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, and CSIR–National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India, in 2021, following his M.Tech. in Advanced Material Physics and Engineering (2016) and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (2013). He is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Computer Science, VinUniversity, Vietnam. Prior to this position, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia (2020–2022), a Visiting Fellow at Monash University and CSIRO Australia Centre (2019–2021), a BK Senior Research Associate and later BK Assistant Professor at Seoul National University, South Korea (2022–2025), and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellow at Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic (2025–2026). He has also been awarded the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship in 2026 at IIT Roorkee, India, and the Brain Pool Fellowship in South Korea. Dr. Pathak has authored more than 50 publications in leading international journals, including Nano Energy, Advanced Functional Materials, Applied Energy, Small, Chemical Society Reviews, Sustainable Energy Technologies & Assessment and Journal of Materials Chemistry C, with an h‑index of 25 and over 2000 citations. He serves as Guest Editor for Materials, Crystals, and Biomedicine, and as Review Editor for Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering and Frontiers in Nanotechnology. He has reviewed more than 50 articles across top journals such as ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Physics of Fluids, and Applied Energy. He has received six Best Invited Speaker Awards, multiple best paper and poster recognitions, and the HDR Impact Award (RMIT, 2019). In addition, he has contributed to ISO nanotechnology standards and certified reference materials, and has delivered invited talks at international conferences and universities worldwide.
