BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Phan Nguyen Thanh Binh has been working as Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department, Vinmec Central Park International Hospital since 2016. During the period 2000-2016, Dr. Binh has been promoted to many leadership positions at Ho Chi Minh City Nutrition Center – one among two leading nutrition institutions in Vietnam responsible for research, training and implementation activities in the field of nutrition, food sciences, and clinical nutrition. She had been also delegated to several provincial-level tasks such as Principal Secretary of National Nutrition Strategy in HCMC, Coordinator of Maternal and Child Survival Program in HCMC (sponsored by UNICEF) and General Secretary of HCMC Association of Food and Nutrition, Vietnam. She has also taken part to develop the clinical diet and menu guide for hospitals to support the implementation of clinical nutrition activities and dietetic services in HCMC hospitals in compliance with national and provincial standards and regulations. As a principal member of Lectureship Committee, Training Programs and Training Packages Reviewers of Nutrition CME Programs, visiting lecturer of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (in practical field) and University of Agriculture and Forestry, she has participated in many training courses on community and clinical nutrition for assigned staffs, health care specialist, nutritionists, food scientists, students and different social group; taken part in composing many media documents (newspaper, leaflets, posters, books, …) for national programs and nutrition CME programs.

From August 2016 until now, as Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department, Vinmec Central Park International Hospital.
