Biography

Marty obtained his Ph.D. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Western Australia in 2020 and joined the University of Auckland as a lecturer in Finance in June 2023. He was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Western Australia, a visiting lecturer at RMIT University Vietnam, and a lecturer in finance at Monash University Malaysia. Marty’s research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of corporate finance, corporate social responsibility, and financial accounting. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, British Accounting Review, and International Business Review.
