Biography
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Huynh Thoai Loan graduated with an excellent degree in Pediatric specialty in 1989. She then attended her residency program in pediatric during 1989-1992 and graduated with a good degree in 1992. She also completed her master’s degree in pediatric internal medicine in 1992 (within the residency program). She successfully protected her postgraduate thesis about IgA nephropathy at Children Hospital 1 and received her PhD in pediatric Nephrology in 2012.
Dr. Huynh Thoai Loan had worked in Nephrology Department at Children Hospital 1 since 1992, starting as an attending physician and later became the Head Doctor of the Nephrology – Endocrinology department from 2003 to 2018. Children Hospital 1 is one of two largest pediatric hospital in Southern Vietnam, with more than 1500 beds and over 30 departments. It is also an education hospital that affiliated with three medical schools: HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Pham Ngoc Thanh University of Medicine and School of Medicine- HCMC Vietnam National University.
In 2018, Dr. Huynh Thoai Loan received her Associate Professor in Pediatric. For more than 10 years, she was a lecturer at many medical schools: School of Medicine- HCMC Vietnam National University, Pham Ngoc Thanh University of Medicine, HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Military Medical University (Southern Branch). Since 2018, Assoc. Prof. PhD. MD. Huynh Thoai Loan is the Head of Pediatric and Newborn Department of Vinmec- Central Park International Hospital.
Assoc. Prof. PhD. MD. Huynh Thoai Loan has been authors and co-authors of more than 50 national and international publications on nephrology & pediatric endocrinology for 15 years. She is also the author of numerous papers on pediatric nephrology, pediatric endocrinology in Treatment Regimen at Children Hospital 1 for many years. She is currently an Executive Committee of HCMC Nephrology and Urology Association, and the Vice President of Vietnam Urology-Nephrology-Dialysis-Transplantation Association (VPUNDTA).
