“VinUni Helps Me Live True to Myself and Become a Better Version”

September 9, 2022

“Two years ago I was a completely different person”, Nguyen Le Quynh Giang, a student of the Bachelor of Nursing at the College of Health Sciences recalled. She said that she had now developed into a much better version of herself—a more confident, independent individual. This achievement is due in large part to two years of studying and learning at VinUni.

Before joining VinUni, Giang spent two years studying abroad in Canada. Reflecting on her past decision to transfer to VinUni, Giang shared: “I was determined and brave enough to apply to VinUni, despite countless difficulties and risks. Thanks to that brave decision, I am now enjoying such wonderful experiences at VinUni.”

Giang recalled, “My freshmen year was filled with vibrant, blissful memories about Dormitory life. Living in the dormitory, I took part in various student-engagement activities such as Halloween celebration, an Ice-cream party (sponsored by the Provost), Stress-free drawing, etc. These team-based activities turned me from a reserved person into a more sociable and amiable personality.”

Fast forward to Giang’s sophomore year, one of her most significant milestones was to conduct independent scientific research funded by VinUniversity on “Quality of Life of Patients diagnosed with Urogenital Prolapse Post-Treatment”. Giang had prior experiences as a Research Assistant, which served as a good foundation to move forward to conduct independent research.

Giang shared, “Undergraduate research at VinUni helps me discover newfound aspects of myself: patience, determination, and leadership.” Her growth in mindset and actions reflects a new, better version of Giang. These changes are possible thanks to a holistic study environment at VinUni and Giang’s hard work and determination.
