“If You Think You Can Do It, You Can Do It!”

Have you ever said no to an opportunity because you felt small and self-deprecating? Have you ever thought: “It’s so hard that I can’t do it”? The borderline between “can” and “can’t” is thin, but “if you think you can do it, you can do it”. This is the sharing of Giap Vu Nam Duong, a student of the College of Business Management, about her lessons after two years of studying at VinUni.

Nam Duong said her initial intention was to study in the US; however, Duong then decided to stay in Vietnam to study at VinUni. “I think the opportunity to study abroad is numerous but to become a first-year student of VinUni comes once in a lifetime.” Therefore, she chose to become a student of the first cohort of VinUni. At the moment, Duong feels that she has made such a wise decision.

As the President of VinMagazine, Duong said that beliefs and attitudes are neccesary to lead team members toward a mutual goal. Duong and her teammates faced many difficulties when they aimed to publish high-quality publications. “Editing was immensely difficult because the number of articles was very large while human resources were limited. Drafting contracts and negotiating with publishers were not easy because we did not have much experience. We stayed up all day and night to complete the work on time.” – Duong shared.

Recently, VinMagazine has signed a cooperation agreement with Alpha Books Publishing House and Mindgames to publish the “202X Dictionary”. According to the agreement, Alpha Books will be in charge of book printing and publishing, VinMagazine will be in charge of the book’s content, and Mindgames will be responsible for publishing in the NFT format. This will be the first NFT (Non-fungible token) book published in Vietnam. “202X Dictionary” is expected to be officially launched in early September 2022.

Becoming a VinUnian, Duong said she has become more self-confident. “VinUni creates all the conditions and resources to support students to pursue their passions and dreams.” – that is what she is most grateful for when studying at VinUni.
