Growing Up by Co-Living, Co-Working, and Co-Learning at VinUni

A student’s life is similar to a piece of music because both have lots of high and low rhythms. Reflecting on student life, Dang Linh Chi, a student of the College of Business Management, shared that her “piece of music” at VinUni had such vibrant and blissful melodies, encompassing three main parts – CO-LIVING, CO-WORKING, AND CO-LEARNING.

In her academic study, Chi was most grateful for the support and guidance from the teaching faculty, including professors, teaching assistants, academic assistants, advisors, etc. “Their encouragement and dedication motivated me to pursue my study and research, despite countless difficulties”, Chi reflected. She also shared that her Dean had a such profound impact on her because of her inspiring leadership and kind personality. “Our Dean hosts a catch-up meeting with students every Friday, called “Snack with Sunmee” so that we–students could update her on our studies and our lives.”

Besides studying, Chi also actively participated in various student-engagement activities in school. As a member of the Resident Assistant team, Chi had a chance to hone her leadership and teamwork skills by organizing socializing events, for example, Happy Weekends, Sports Day, Earth Hour, etc.

Furthermore, Chi spent a lot of time doing internships to enhance her professional skills and knowledge. As VinUniversity gives students various opportunities to participate in the real labor market through internships and work-study programs, Chi proudly shared that she had completed 7 internship programs in total in the past 2 years. She particularly loved the “5in5 Internship” (student interns for 5 days (no-school day) in 5 consecutive weeks) and “work-study program) (students worked part-time in VinUni’s departments) and gained various hands-on experiences.

“The past 2 years at VinUni were full of energy and vibrance”, Chi cheered, “And I hope that I will be able to include more exciting melodies into my piece of music.” Let’s hope that Chi will fulfill her dreams!
