Tiến sĩ Nguyễn Hoàng Long tốt nghiệp Cử nhân Điều dưỡng trường Đại học Y Hà Nội. Ông cùng đồng nghiệp xây dựng chương trình Cử nhân Điều dưỡng đầu tiên trong nước tại một cơ sở tư nhân, góp phần mở đầu cho sự tham gia của các cơ sở giáo dục ngoài công lập vào lĩnh vực đào tạo khối ngành khoa học sức khỏe ở bậc đại học. Ông đã sống ở Thái Lan trong nhiều năm, nơi ông theo học thạc sĩ, tiến sĩ và sau đó là nghiên cứu viên sau tiến sĩ tại Đại học Chulalongkorn. Tiến sĩ Long gia nhập Vingroup từ năm 2016 với vị trí Phó Giám đốc Đào tạo Điều dưỡng, Hệ thống Y tế Vinmec. Tại VinUni, ông giữ vai trò Giám đốc Phát triển Chương trình giảng dạy và sau đó là Giám đốc Chương trình Điều dưỡng.
