Technology (CMIT) is proud to launch its Call for Proposals AY25-26, inviting faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and research teams to submit high-impact project ideas aligned with CMIT\u2019s strategic themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rare-Earth Materials &amp; Recycling Technologies<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Energy Materials<\/li>\n<li>Quantum Materials for Next-Generation Technologies<\/li>\n<li>AI-Integrated Smart Sensors for Environmental and Healthcare Monitoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CMIT\u2019s mission is to drive breakthrough research, cultivate interdisciplinary collaboration, and accelerate technology translation in advanced materials to support Vietnam\u2019s global ambitions in clean energy, electronics, quantum systems and smart sensing.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Funding Opportunities<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>CMIT offers two categories of internal funding for AY25-26 to stimulate innovation and proposal development:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Category<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Maximum Funding<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Duration<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Objective<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Grassroot Grants<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Up to <strong>USD 20,000<\/strong>\u00a0per project<\/td>\n<td>18 months<\/td>\n<td>Support early-stage ideas, pilot data generation and groundwork for larger funding proposals.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Flagship Grants<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Up to <strong>USD 300,000<\/strong>\u00a0per project<\/td>\n<td>Up to 3 years<\/td>\n<td>Support larger interdisciplinary research initiatives with strong potential for international impact and industry application.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Eligibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time faculty members and postdoctoral researchers of VinUniversity are eligible to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants are expected to have a strong research track record with demonstrated experience in conducting high-quality, peer-reviewed research.<\/li>\n<li>Priority will be given to proposals led by experienced investigators or teams with a proven ability to secure competitive funding, produce impactful publications, or translate research into practical outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Projects must align with at least one of CMIT\u2019s four research themes, and are encouraged to demonstrate collaboration potential across multiple themes, departments, or with external partners (industry, academic institutions, or research agencies).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants are encouraged to leverage or commit to pursuing external funding sources (national, international, or industrial) and\/or demonstrate commercialization potential for their proposed research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Application Process<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Applicants should prepare a proposal including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project title and list of team members (PI + co-PIs + key personnel)<\/li>\n<li>Executive summary (1 page)<\/li>\n<li>Project description (up to 5 pages): background, objectives, methodology, expected outcomes and impact<\/li>\n<li>Budget and justification (including leveraging external funding or industry partnership)<\/li>\n<li>Timeline with milestones and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Plans for cross-theme\/center collaboration and technology translation (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submit your complete proposal as a <strong>single PDF<\/strong>\u00a0by email to: <a href=\"mailto:cmit@vinuni.edu.vn\"><strong>cmit@vinuni.edu.vn<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"mailto:research@vinuni.edu.vn\">research@vinuni.edu.vn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Subject line format: <em>\u201cCMIT Call AY25-26 \u2013 [Your Full Name] \u2013 [Project Title]\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Template:<i>\u00a0[<\/i><\/span><i><a title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/vinuniversity-my.sharepoint.com\/:f:\/g\/personal\/cmit_vinuni_edu_vn\/EvIExdm01dRAkadLCVF35-0Ba_Bk0HgwPsS4toqtsIEOnQ?e=JLlqGt.
