This role is critical to ensuring efficient financial operations, including budget appraisal, budget monitoring, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.<br \/>\nThis position will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Budget Appraisal &amp; Monitoring:<\/strong> Support the appraisal of research project budgets and monitor budget execution to track progress across research projects and research centers following VinUni\u2019s regulations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Financial Reporting &amp; Record Keeping:<\/strong> Maintain sufficient, accurate, well-organized financial records to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations; Consolidate data and input to support reporting purposes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compliance:<\/strong> Ensure adherence to financial and accounting standards, tax regulations, internal policies and local laws; identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE <\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2018s degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management or relevant fields from an accredited institution.<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years of experience in financial support, with strong exposure to budget appraisal, budget monitoring, financial reporting, and compliance\u2014preferably within academic or nonprofit programs\/project<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a higher education, N-G-O or Research Institutes setting is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced with budget appraisal and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate complex ideas and recommendations effectively, both verbally and in writing<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academics, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>Rigorous and capable of high attention to details over an extended period.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deliver with precision, conscientiousness, and diligence.<\/li>\n<li>Dedication to excellence and commitment to the highest ethical standards and transparency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary: <\/strong>Competitive, commensurate with experiences<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employment type:\u00a0<\/strong>Part-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Onsite at VinUni campus<\/p>\n<p><strong>Divisions: <\/strong>Finance and Accounting Department<\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates should send their Curriculum Vitae (maximum three pages) by <strong>January 28, 2025<\/strong> to the Research Management Office at <a href=\"mailto:research@vinuni.edu.vn\">research@vinuni.edu.vn.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We thank all applicants for their interest.\u00a0<strong><em>Please note that only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ROLE OVERVIEW VinUniversity is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to provide financial support in a dynamic, fast-growing academic environment.
