This collaboration is grounded in the newly established\u00a0<strong>Global Strategic Partnership<\/strong>\u00a0between the two countries, focusing on\u00a0<strong>energy transition<\/strong>. Ambassador Brochet praised Vietnam\u2019s ambitious commitment to\u00a0<strong>carbon neutrality by 2050<\/strong>\u00a0and the gradual\u00a0<strong>phasing out of fossil fuels<\/strong>\u00a0by the 2040s. France, through the\u00a0<strong>Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP)<\/strong>, has pledged\u00a0<strong>\u20ac500 million<\/strong>\u00a0to support Vietnam\u2019s transition. French companies like\u00a0<strong>EDF<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Total Energies<\/strong>\u00a0were also recognized for their contributions to advancing Vietnam\u2019s renewable energy initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VinUniversity\u2019s CEI: Leading Innovation and Empowering Young Minds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of\u00a0<strong>Franconomics 2024<\/strong>\u00a0was the critical role played by\u00a0<strong>VinUniversity\u2019s Center for Environmental Intelligence (CEI)<\/strong>.
