Biography

Mr. Vu Minh Duc received the BSc. degree in biology from Vietnam National University at Ha Noi in 2003 and the MSc. degrees in biology from Thai Nguyen University in 2009. He was a highly skilled Molecular Genetics Specialist at Division of Genomic Medicine, Vinmec Hi-Tech Center – Vinmec Healthcare System. His career is dedicated to advancing precision medicine through genetic research and testing. He has a strong background as a researcher at the University of Science, Vietnam National University; Institute of Biotechnology; Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine and Vinmec Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology (VRISG). He has also held positions at the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnosis, and Biomedic JSC.
Mr. Duc’s expertise lies in NGS-based techniques for genetic disease analysis and cancer genetic profiling. He is experienced in genetic testing for hereditary cancer screening and genetic disease diagnosis using next-generation sequencing (NGS) and is well-versed in operating Illumina platforms. He has extensive experience in validating and implementing genetic testing methods for various cancers, utilizing advanced NGS panels. He has been involved in numerous research projects, including studies on autism spectrum disorder, development of a genomic variant database for the Vietnamese population, and R&D projects focused on cancer genetic testing.
