Biography

Thuy Anh was born and raised in Viet Nam. She attended the University of Economics and graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1992. In the 90s, she worked for Coca-Cola as Executive Officer and had years in the position of Media & Government Relations Manager with the primary duty to act as the local spokesperson of the Coca-Cola system in Vietnam and to develop public relations plans which were part of the entire marketing strategy of the Coca-Cola system in Vietnam. Prior to joining Vinmec, she was involved in healthcare segment and management with the position of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Marketing at French Hospital- the first international hospital in Vietnam from 1999 – 2005; and Chief Operating Officer of MSI – a UK-based reproductive health INGO.

Thuy Anh brings passion, enthusiasm and over 20 years-experiences working in the healthcare sector and under the highest responsibilities for hospital operations. From June of 2011, she has worked for Vinmec Healthcare System – a member of Vingroup JSC. asthe current Chief Executive Officer ofVinmec Holdings company and successfully direct the establishment (including concept design, construction) of a hospital chains including 7 hospitals, 3 wellness clinics, a Regenerative research institute and core-labs (including a state-of-the-art biobank). Vinmec strives to provide the best quality healthcare standards comparable with leading international hospitals with JCI certification for the two flag-ship hospital in Ha Noi and Hochiminh city in 2015 & 2018 – re-accredited in 2018, 2021. All Vinmec hospitals has always been ranked top 5 in annual quality investigation of MOH (the 83 quality indicators program). In its strategic plan, Vinmec has strongly exploring the opportunities in strategic collaboration with international partners and reputational institutes to upgrade its capacity and quality of care to a higher level, establish and implement advanced care model, as well as research, innovation and medical education.

Under the leadership and vision of Thuy Anh, Vinmec transformed from private hospital chains to private not-for-profit academic healthcare system since 2016. Vinmec is now the only premium private healthcare system in Vietnam comprising of the clinical program with invested clinical research programs; the strategic alliance between the Health Science College of Vin University and Vinmec enables us to become the pioneer in the premium segment and the “agent of change” in health services as well as medical education reform in Vietnam. From 2022-2026, Vinmec sets the strategic vision to become a value-based healthcare organization and the role model for academic healthcare in Vietnam.
